Olu Deniz is an oasis of paradise. Not only is there very little property breaking up the serene beauty of nature because the area is protected by the government for its touristic appeal, but on top of that, once people get a hold of a property there they never let go, so what little property there is rarely comes up for sale. On top of that, foreigners aren't legally able to buy property in Olu Deniz bay proper, although these kinds of problems can usually be worked around.
Olu Deniz has the gorgeous Babadag mountains for a backdrop, and the turquoise waters of the world famous blue lagoon the other side. It says it all that the blue lagoon is world famous for its beauty, but the entire location is often ranked among the top 5 most beautiful places in the world in travellers magazines as well. It also has several great bars and restaraunts along its precious promenade.

The closest town to Olu Deniz is Fethiye and this is where most people that fall in love with Olu Deniz go to buy property.
But its proximity to Olu Deniz isn't all that Fethiye has going for it. Great beaches, great bars, great restaurants, water parks, attractions and fun for all the family. In its own right Fethiye is one of the most popular tourist towns in Turkey.
Some of the closest paradise enclaves to buy property in include Hisaronu, Ovacik, Fethiye, Calis, all are by the beach and very much built around their attractiveness to tourists. Property in Fethiye is not the cheapest in Turkey, but it is still some of the cheapest in Europe like for like. What's more, apart from the obvious appeal of owning a holiday home there, it has a very strong holiday rentals market, with rental yields of 4 – 6 per cent being the norm.
