Turkey is a paradise of sun, sea, mountains and lakes and offers and complete change from the stress of everyday life in the UK. Turkey property is predominately on two coasts – the Aegean and the Mediterranean. This post will highlight some of the most desirable places on both coasts.
The Aegean coast
Altinkum – The name Altinkum translates to “golden sand” and with it’s three main beaches is populular with both British and Turkish tourists. Historical sites the Temple of Apollo, Miletos and Ephesus are a short distance away and the town also boasts many bars and restaurants. Fethiye – located on the site of the ancient city of Telmessos, Fethiye is a well known tourist centre. Property in Fethiye is only 45 minutes from Dalaman airport, close to Oludeniz (one of the most photographed beaches on the Aegean) and all amenities. Gocek – Gocek is one of the most exclusive areas on the Aegean coast and hosts four significant marinas that serve yacht tourism in the region. Side – Side is one of the best known classical sites in Turkey.
