Major publication the Hampstead & Highgate express has highlighted the massive benefits of golf in Turkey. The article particularly focuses on golf in Belek, which it called: “the eastern Mediterranean must-visit golfing destination, on a par with the Algarve and the Costa del Sol, but costing much less.
Turkey’s golf history began only in 1994, when former Ryder Cup star David Fehery and ex-tour professional David Jones worked together to design the National Golf Club in Belek. From small beginnings Belek has grown into one of Europe’s great centres for golf, and with great golf goes a strong property market.
Since buying overseas property became big, the connection between golf and overseas property sales has become unmistakeable, with the Costa del Sol, Tenerife and the Algarve as shining examples.
Belek will be no different now that Turkey has made its way onto centre stage when it comes to global property buyers. Little wonder; golf property in Belek is such good value for money and comparatively cheap alongside its rivals.
You’ll pay at least £250k for a decent golf property on Tenerife or the Costa del Sol, credit crunch or no, and even more on the Algarve, yet you can get a high quality villa near a Belek golf course for under £100k — you do the math.
