Antalya Property Market to be Boosted by Increased Accessibility

Posted on 08 April 2010

The Antalya property market – which is already arguably one of the hottest in Turkey – could potentially see a further increase in foreign demand, due to Cimber Sterling opening up the market to visitors from Copenhagen, with new direct flights to Antalya airport.

Though the route is served by several other airlines, this looks to be the first direct flight between the two airports, and certainly the first by a low cost carrier.

At a time when overseas property buyers are being told to re-check the accessibility of any area, because of the number of flights that have been cancelled during the past 2 years, the addition of another flight to Antalya is a testament to its massive tourism market, and the massive potential for growth therein.

That is the great thing about new flights to an area, they not only make more growth possible, but they also make it likely, because they increase confidence in an area’s tourism growth, and make properties in the area look like an even better investment.

Turkey and Antalya have received several new flights during the financial crisis, which had a very limited impact on Turkish tourism, due to growth in tourism from places like Britain, owing to changing factors like the stronger euro.

More new flights this week included AirAlgerie flights from Constantine to Istanbul Atatürk, running twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays from March 30th. There was also  new coverage of the Bursa – Ankara route from AnadoluJet.
