Side (See-Day) is a former fishing village on Turkey’s south Mediterranean coast. As with many coastal towns, Side slopes up from the port, which gives many Side properties fantastic views out across the sea as far as the horizon.
When I write Side property I always feel like it may be misconstrued as property beside something, so from this point forward, to save me having to put SeeDay in brackets all the time, I will be writing Side property Turkey, to clarify that I am writing about the Turkish village of Side.
Side property Turkey has the potential to be a massive seller in 2010, because it is one of the untouched beauties that Turkey has to offer. The fact that Turkey is going to grow into one of the world’s economic powerhouses has become unquestionable, as has the fact that it will become one of the world’s foremost tourism hotspots. Thus, people are quick to act now while prices are low.
It has been proven that foreigners all buying in the same place is a bad idea, and so property buyers have spread out from the Istanbul’s and Antalya’s to find their own piece of paradise. Side property Turkey certainly is that, paradise I mean.
As I said, the town slopes upward from the harbour, and in fact the high-street runs up the centre away from the port, meaning there are spectacular views out across the sea from the town centre, and from the many restaurants and shops therein.
Many of the properties for sale in Side also boast incredible views out over the coast, the harbour and the sea.
Spot Blue are currently marketing some 4 bedroom villas in a raised development 800 meters back from the sea and incredibly, at prices under £200k. The villas have fitted kitchens, air-conditioning, marble floors and balconies with views of the swimming pool and the mountains. Unsurprisingly there are only 4 villas left on the small development, which has off-street parking, and a communal swimming pool.
