Side sits on a headland stretching out into the Mediterranean sea. Thus, Side has sea on three sides. Needless to say Side has some incredible beaches and sea-views, and of course the 300 days of sunshine per year from its Mediterranean location. Bringing up the rear is the Taurus mountain range.
Side is very much a family destination. With the nearest airport being Antalya 34 miles away, the town is just a little far away for the masses of young tourists flying in for 1 week breaks, but a little close for the older tourists who really want to get away from it all.
The town has been developed from a former fishing village into a tourist town very deliberately, in that it has a perfect array of shops, bars cafes and restaurants for the family. Finally Side is one of Turkey‘s most historically rich town, and has a massive array of ruins depicting many great eras in the town’s history dating back to Alexander the Great.
Those who holiday in Side fall in love with the place, and are glad to find the property for sale in Side starts from £30k for an apartment that will perfectly suit a small family.
