Readers of prominent travel magazine Conde Naste have selected the Çiragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul as the sixth-best hotel in Europe, west Asia and Russia, with 89.25 points. This brings it ahead of many of its rivals in Paris, Milan and Barcelona. On the list of the “World’s Best 100,” according to the same survey, readers annually give points to countries and cities as well as hotels. In the listing for 2008, the Çiragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul is in 58th place among the top 100 in the same category. It was the only hotel in Turkey included on the list. Conde Nast is read around the world, especially by businessmen who travel frequently. Its surveys identify what readers believe are the very best in the world of tourism and business travel. The surveys were started in 1988 and also support the travel industry by identifying the best cities, airlines, travel and cruise agencies, and hotels in the world.
