Turkey: 135 Mw wind farm commissioned
A 54 turbine green energy wind farm has been commissioned at Gokcedag in the southern province of Osmaniye, making it the largest wind farm facility in Turkey.
Comissioned by the Zorlu Group through its Zorlu Enerji division the Gokcedag wind farm is capable of generating 500 million Kwh per annum representing 10% of Turkeys installed wind power.
Zorlu Enerji have plans to invest in a second 120 Mw wind farm in Akcadag, also in the same region, this second wind farm is due to be completed by 2013.
