Turkey and Britain sign deal on boosting trade
Turkish and British parties signed an agreement for boosting trade in London on Thursday. Turkey’s State Minister for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan and British Minister for Trade, Investment and Small Business Lord Davies attended the meeting of the Britain-Turkey Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) in London. After the meeting, Caglayan and Davies signed the agreement for boosting commercial relations between the two countries. Caglayan said the areas of energy, defense, investment, tourism, finance and technology were discussed in the meeting. Turkey and Britain have the potential to boost their bilateral trade volume to USD 20-30 billion, he added.
