Turkey: THY adds new aircraft to increase its long range capacity
Turkish Airlines is increasing it long range capacity with the addition of twelve Boeing 777 300ER. At the hand over ceremony in Seattle the Turkish Airlines Executive Board Chairman, Hamdi Topcu said “The extended fleet will double THY’s long-range capacity”.
After the new aircraft have been delivered to Turkish Airlines in August 2011 the Boeing fleet will comprise of 60% of the THY fleet.
Turkish Airlines in one of the few global airlines making profits posting a profit of 389 million Euros in 2009.
