8th July 2011 – According to Muharrem Usta, CEO of Turkey’s Medical Park healthcare services group, “The government’s (Turkey’s) aim to earn USD 5 billion from providing medical services to foreigners is achievable”,
Medical park is building 3 new hospitals in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara especially focused medical services to foreign patients in a bid to incease health tourism revenues from 40 Million USD this year to 500 Million USD by 2017.
According to Usta, “Many patients from the Middle East, the Balkans and Europe choose Turkish healthcare facilities for treatment” because of its modern private hospitals and world class treatment at affordable prices.
