13 July 2011 – According to Mercer’s “2011 Cost of Living” report, the cost of living in Istanbul has dropped 26 places in the list of 214 countries throughout the world covered by the report.
Mercer, the global human resources consultancy company, has assessed expatriates costs globally, including housing, travel, food and household goods, etc plus hundreds of other criteria, and has placed Istanbul the 70th most expensive place to live in the world, down from 44th place in the previous year.
The top spot for the world’s most expensive place to live goes to Luanda in Anglo.
