Istanbul, 27 February 2012 – The world’s richest man, (According to Forbes) Mexico’s Carlos Helu is actively looking for investment deals in Turkey describing Turkey as “the shining star of the globe”. At the recent the Turkish – Mexican Business Forum held in Mexico City, Rifat Hisarcıklıoglu, President of Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board held discussion with Helu about the investment opportunities in Turkey, “Carlos Slim Helu is weighing up opportunities in different sectors but he is particularly interested in the telecommunications sector”, reported Hisarcıklıoglu. Helu’s wealth is founded on South America’s largest mobile telecoms company and he believes both Mexico and Turkey will reach developed country status by 2022 if they keep their current economic growth model.
