“The [Turkish] real estate industry is great.”
Those aren’t my words, but the words of one of the world’s most successful (by a lot of measures not least wealth) businessmen Donald Trump.
When asked if he foresaw any ballooning in the Turkish real estate market Trump answered:
“I think the real estate industry is great. I think it’s a great time to buy in Turkey,” adding that it is a particularly good time to buy in Istanbul at the moment.
Trump was being interviewed about the first Trump Towers in Europe, which is the newly completed Trump Towers Mall in Istanbul, which was opened last week by no less than Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Trump also said that he believes Turkey is immune to the Eurozone debt crisis, and that due to the success of Trump Towers which opened almost completely sold out, his corporation are already planning another “big job” in Turkey.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the mall, which is a joint project with Turkish corporation Dogan group, Erdogan said that the architecture and services of the twin tower development will launch a new period for both the district and Istanbul.
Erdoğan added that the fact the development opened 80% sold showed that those who invest in Turkey win.
