Turkey to hold Middle East tourism expo

Ankara, 13 April 2012 – Hoping to double the number of Arab tourists visiting Turkey to 4 million Turkey will host the Middle East Tourism Exhibition in Ankara in May. At least 300 tourism professionals from at least 30 countries are expected attend the event including various specialist sectors as healthcare and education with over 150 Turkish universities attending. Dr Cuneyt Mengu, Executive Board President of the Middle East Tourism Exhibition, said “The number of destinations for people travelling from the region must be increased for sustainable tourism. The exhibition will thus have important contributions to the number of tourists visiting various tourism centres”. Source: Invest in Turkey
