Czech drug maker to make Turkey its generics hub

Istanbul, 30 July 2012 – Zentiva, the Czech subsidiary of Sanofi, France’s leading pharma company, is to move most of its production to Turkey. Speaking at a press conference Jérôme Silvestre, Zentiva’s President, said “Zentiva’s Turkish plant will be a supply base for generic drugs after their production moves to Turkey”.  Zentiva entered the Turkish market in 2007 when it acquired the generics business of the Turkish drug manufacturer Eczacibasi.  Source: Invest in Turkey
