A sign of the growing prosperity of Turkish people and their appetite for leading worldwide brands, Rolls-Royce has announced plans for an authorised dealer to be based in Istanbul. The new dealership is to be officially named Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Istanbul and the new showroom is officially due to open at the start of 2014.
James Crichton, Regional Director for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Europe, said: “We welcome Royal Motors to our global network. In line with our philosophy to strive for perfection in everything we do, we are convinced that we have found the best possible partner in Turkey. With its wealth of experience in the luxury segment, Royal Motors is perfectly positioned to build up a sustainable business from their showroom on the Bosphorus.”
Artug Aysal, owner of Royal Motors, commented: “This is the starting point for a new era for Rolls-Royce customers in Turkey. We are confident that the Spirit of Ecstasy will have a bright future in our home country.”
Royal Motors will celebrate the inauguration with a prestigious event at the British embassy in Istanbul at the beginning of November. At the event the new Wraith, the definitive Grand Tourismo for connoisseurs and the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history, will be shown for the very first time in Turkey.
Turks who prefer that other legendary British motoring brand Bentley to a Rolls-Royce have been able to browse and purchase one in Istanbul since 2007 when Bentley Motors opened a showroom in Istanbul.
