Air Arabia Launches New Route To Izmir Airport in Turkey

In a press release, Air Arabia, the Middle East’s most prominent low-cost carrier, that currently flies to 130 destinations across the world announced that from the 27th of June 2018, they are adding a route to the Izmir airport of Aegean Turkey.

The route will use an Airbus A320 craft and run twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. More importantly, the added course is the first time, an airline has connected Izmir and UAE passengers with direct flights.

It also marks their fifth destination in Turkey, adding to exisiting flight schedules that cover all corners of Turkey including Antalya on the southern Mediterranean coast, Bodrum in the western Aegean region, the North East district of Trabzon and Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul.

Departing at 21.05 hours from Sharjah airport (SHJ), the flight will land at Adnan Menderes Izmir airport (ADB) at 00.50 a.m. Return flights will leave Izmir at 1.30 a.m., and land at 6.50 a.m. in Sharjah airport.

Announcing that the new route is timed to coincide with the summer school holidays, the GCEO Adel Al Ali added that their mission to help people explore new destinations at affordable prices is part of their inspiration for the new schedule.
