Weather in Spain – Spanish climate

Spain is one of the most visited countries in the world with over 82 million foreigners visiting mainland Spain or its islands. Why is it so popular? The culture, picturesque beaches, cuisine and its closeness to the UK and Europe at a guess, but most of all it’s due to its wonderful Mediterranean climate. There are 17 regions of Spain called autonomous regions.

The eastern and southern coasts of Spain are where most tourists visit for holidays or buy property, the Balearic Islands are also off the east coast. Sun soaked Spain has on average 320 days of sunshine each year in its most southern regions and has four seasons with hot summers, mild winters and little rainfall.
