French eyewear company re enters the Turkish market

Istanbul, 13 August 2012 - Having left Turkey during the 2001 Turkish financial crisis Essilor, the leading French eyewear giant, has decided to re-enter the Turkish market due to the economic woes of Europe. Essilor acquired a 70 percent stake in the Turkish Yeda Tora Optik company early in 2012 and has followed this up with a 51 percent acquisition of the Turkish company - Opak Optik.
