Proving that even international film stars are falling for Turkey and its fantastic lifestyle, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reported to have bought their own place on the Turkish coast.

Hollywood golden couple ‘Brangelina’ are said to have snapped up a villa in the small resort of Urla, located between Cescme and Izmir on the western Aegean coast, an area known for its wineries and organic farming. It is also popular with the world’s sailing fraternity, thanks to its selection of world-class marinas, including the one at Cesme.

The couple’s new property reportedly cost them $2.6million. It is said that agents recently visited the property, completing the purchase on Brad and Angelina’s behalf, after they had browsed the property on-line.

The couple’s new 10,000-square-metre property includes seven bedrooms, two living rooms, a swimming pool and gym, and is located just metres from the sea. It is said they have plans to spend time at the property over the summer next year.

Brangelina are breaking the mould a bit by purchasing in Izmir – typically, the international jet set head to the Bodrum Peninsula when they’re in the market for a Turkish home.

Elsewhere, Kalkan on the south coast is earning a reputation amongst the celebrities. Offering discreet access by boat, bundles of charm and a selection of world class restaurants the resort recently attracted the likes of Mylene Klass, England football manager Roy Hodgson, Princess Beatrice, football club owner Roman Abramovich, comedian and actress Miranda Hart, footballer Craig Bellamy and singer David Soul.
