Istanbul gears up for arrival of first Rolls Royce dealership

A sign of the growing prosperity of Turkish people and their appetite for leading worldwide brands, Rolls-Royce has announced plans for an authorised dealer to be based in Istanbul. The new dealership is to be officially named Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Istanbul and the new showroom is officially due to open at the start of 2014.

James Crichton, Regional Director for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Europe, said: “We welcome Royal Motors to our global network. With its wealth of experience in the luxury segment, Royal Motors is perfectly positioned to build up a sustainable business from their showroom on the Bosphorus.”

Artug Aysal, owner of Royal Motors, commented: “This is the starting point for a new era for Rolls-Royce customers in Turkey. We are confident that the Spirit of Ecstasy will have a bright future in our home country.”

Royal Motors will celebrate the inauguration with a prestigious event at the  British embassy in Istanbul at the beginning of November. At the event the new Wraith, the definitive Grand Tourismo for connoisseurs and the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history, will be shown for the very first time in Turkey.

Turks who prefer that other legendary British motoring brand Bentley to a Rolls-Royce have been able to browse and purchase one in Istanbul since 2007 when Bentley Motors opened a showroom in Istanbul.
