The chic new Palmarina on the Bodrum peninsula has been selected as a member of a global network of exceptional independent yacht marinas, run by marina company Camper & Nicholsons Marinas.
Membership of the network, officially called The 178 Club, should encourage more of the international jet set who own boats to head to Palmarina, located in Yalikavak, which in turn will make property there and in the Bodrum area more desirable. Palmarina is unique in the region for providing secure, year-round berthing for superyachts up to 100 metres.
Its generous capacity provides over 60 berths for yachts of 40 metres and above, as well as haul-out facilities up to 260 tons and a boatyard with extensive technical services. Located in the southern reaches of the Aegean Sea, Yalikavak boasts a wonderful climate and lies in an area renowned for its unspoilt natural beauty, where Spot Blue has a selection of luxury homes for sale.
The 1782 Club is a select international network of exceptional independent yacht marinas. Growing fast and operated by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, it selects members in non-competing locations in established and emerging yachting destinations. Member marinas have access to superb resources and support for building their international clientele and developing their facilities and amenities.
Kurt Fraser, sales and marketing director for C&N Marinas, said: “We are delighted that Palmarina has joined our network. This luxurious marina is Turkey’s ultimate all-season destination for superyachts, with a wealth of duty free, luxury shopping options as well as world famous Nobu and Cipriani restaurants. Palmarina will be of significant interest not only to yacht owners, but also to charter guests and crew.”
Cenk Bircan, general manager of Palmarina, commented: “Camper & Nicholsons’ experience in luxury marina development and operational excellence makes them the ideal partner to take Palmarina to the next level. We look forward to working with the C&N team and drawing from their wealth of expertise.”
