The Antalya region of Turkey has always been an attractive destination for foreign nationalities, whether it is just for holidays or as an expat haven. Yet the last ten years has seen it embark on ambitious projects to attract the luxury market as well as budget, cash conscious savers.
Through numerous projects, it has achieved an all-rounder atmosphere, pleasing everyone from all walks of life, and the latest developments in Antalya prove that when it comes to the luxury market, the region can just as easily take on its fellow counterparts of Bodrum and Istanbul, both of which are renowned as the kings of hospitality and elegant living in Turkey.
Thehas recently dropped the 100-euro visa fee for Indians, and this is good news for Antalya, whose hotels are renowned as the ideal destination for an Indian wedding. For this nationality, these events are large gatherings hosting many family members and no expense is spared to make sure their days go smoothly.

385 people were employed for the three-day event that is rumoured to have cost more than 10 million euros. With waived visa fees, the luxury hotels of Antalya are now specifically marketing packages aimed at the Indian, luxury tourist niche.
The other news buzzing around Antalya is a luxury eco-friendly villa complex that incorporates the latest in modern architecture, with eco-friendly systems and all the facilities and amenities that one would expect from a luxury lifestyle.
The 38 villas varying in price from roughly £1,500,000 to £2,500,000 include amenities such as private pools, smart technology, underground parking, spa, fitness rooms and saunas. The project is gaining international attention, not only from the wealthy social circles of the world but also eco-friendly industries, thanks to the BREEAM certification.
Future property owners will also have the luxury of being just 6 kilometres away from the golf courses of Antalya, that are considered some of the best in the world, having hosted the National Championships and players like Tiger Woods and Barack Obama.
Although the airport is close by, so is Antalya’s state-of-the-art marina for any international yacht owners that want to travel to their luxury villa by sea. The project has received wide praise and admiration from architectural circles within Turkey and throughout the world.
Although the prestigious golf courses and gorgeous hotels have been a feature of the region for many years, Antalya is obviously steeping up its game plan and the recent climb to luxury fame is a force to be reckoned with.
