Turkey’s Ford Otozan now exporting engineering services

Istanbul, 3 July 2012 – Ford Otosan, the Turkish-US joint venture,  is now making its engineering services to the whole of Ford Group with the “Made inTurkey” label. According to Haydar Yenigun, the company’s Director General, the JV’s Gebze Engineering Centre exported services worth 50 million USD last year.  Commenting on the new service Yenigun said “Ford Otosan’s engineering centre in Turkey employs 1200 personnel. This facility creates an extra export income by providing engineering services to Ford. The company aims to increase its engineering revenue to USD 100 million in 2012”. The JV Gebze centre is currently working on the design and development of a new LCV model expected to enter production in 2013. Source: 3 July 2012
