Turkish Airlines again voted ‘Best Airline in Europe’

Istanbul, 17 July 2012 - Turkish Airlines has gained “Best Airline inEurope” award for the second year in a row. The award given by Skytrax also gave Turkish Airlines the "Best Airline inSouthern Europe" and the "Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seat".  Speaking at the UK’s Farnborough International Airshow, Mr Temel Kotli, Turkish Airlines General Manager, said “Turkish Airlines left behind Lufthansa and Swiss as direct competitors to become Europe’s best airline once again” adding “We now aim to be the world’s best”. Turkish Airlines has grown by 20 percent in the first six months of 2012 and according to Kotli “International fliers passing through Istanbul for connecting flights increased by 47 percent. This growth rate shows that Istanbul is right at the centre of world’s airline industry”.
