Turkish solar energy projects on the grid

Istanbul, 2 June 2012 – With foreign and domestic investors are already queuing up for the rights to produce solar energy, Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority has announced that between 10th to 14th June 2013 it will accept license applications to produce electricity from solar energy. “The potential investors in photovoltaic projects should ready their feasibility reports and license documents by June, 2013,” according to Hasan Koktas, Energy Market Regulatory Authority President, Turkey favours projects that use Turkish produced solar panels and other related equipment. By 2023 photovoltaic energy projects are expected to make up 9,000 MW of the total capacity of 100,000 MW of installed capacity. Source: Invest in Turkey
