What is Kalkan, Turkey like?
Kalkan is a typical Mediterranean place with traditional seaside houses, covered with wooden shutters and pink bougainvillea tumbling down white washed walls. Coastal restaurants promote the concept of Mediterranean dining and due to the hillside leading away from the beach; most restaurants provide a romantic, rooftop-dining experience with slow music and tasty cuisine, while the sun slowly sets on the horizon.
Small boutique shops, modern restaurants, and traditional bars, line both sides of the cobbled streets and at the entrance to the resort is an average sized bus station, with transport to neighbouring towns and bigger bus stations that operate transport to other destinations within Turkey.
Thanks to the influx of expats, the current population is approximately 3,500 people, but during summer, this increases because of tourism. All facilities and amenities exist within the town, including doctors, post offices, banks, and supermarkets and for serious medical attention, expats use the private hospital based in nearby Fethiye. Other activities and places of interest which you can enjoy are diving, snorkeling, beach clubs, historical sites, water sports, and Paragliding plus spa treatments.
Where is the villa in Kalkan, Turkey?
This established detached triplex villa is located in Kalkan’s Old Quarter, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and harbour, as well as many restaurants and bars of the old town.
This central, yet quiet location is ideal for those who want to be in the centre of town with or without a car. You can catch a dolmus mini bus to other areas in Kalkan, as well as the nearby town of Kas. Finally, the nearest international airport is Dalaman, which is approximately one hour, 30 minutes’ drive away.

The layout of the first and second floor is identical. Each floor offers a spacious double and twin en suite bedroom. Each bedroom has a private balcony and all the en suite bathrooms have recently been refitted with luxury walk in showers and feature sinks. All the bedroom balconies offer a partial yet impressive sea view of Kalkan Bay and the town.
