What is Calis, Fethiye like?
Calis means "work" in Turkish, and the town was not always a vacation destination because Calis Beach was a Work beach with a small railway running across the beach to the jetty with loads of Chromium mined from inland. Calis is said to have 300 days of sunshine per year, and the beach is lined with a plethora of bars and restaurants on the promenade where you can watch the most beautiful sunsets.
