What is the area like?
You may know the Isle of Wight for its stunning beaches and sunny climate, but this holiday park is also perfectly situated, for access to the island's many attractions. With a vibrant tourism industry, the island supports a whole host of fun activities and destinations, from Carisbrooke Castle to the Isle of Wight Zoo, the Garlic Farm and the world famous Needles Landmark attraction. All these places are less than 35 minutes from this holiday park.
Godshill is a picturesque village which looks like a postcard, with its thatched cottages and medieval church. It is famous for having a model village of itself, and within that model is a model of the model; then a third model inside that! Godshill also has a range of unique shops offering local produce and crafts, so it's a great place to visit for the day - even just for a wander around. At the very least, you must stop for tea and cake; the traditional tearooms here are simply delightful.
Carisbrooke is situated on the outskirts of Newport, this village is best known for its castle. At Carisbrooke Castle, you’ll find donkeys, a beautiful Edwardian garden and the famous museum, which features Charles I memorabilia as well as exhibitions that change regularly. Children have the opportunity to dress up as a civil war troopers, or Norman soldiers, and once they’ve finished running around the grounds, you can all relax with some refreshments, in the on-site tearoom – perfect.
Newport is the capital of the Isle of Wight it’s a busy, bustling town and one of the liveliest places on the island to visit. Newport is a great shopping destination, boasting a wide selection of independent stores and well-known high street chains. The annual Isle of Wight Music Festival is held in the town every year in June, which is well worth booking tickets for if you're into music. If you’re looking for attractions the whole family will love, try Monkey Haven, Robin Hill Country Park and the Newport Roman Villa. There is so much to do here that it’s impossible to get bored.
Robin Hill offers an adventure park, it has loads of fun-filled activities on offer for the whole family. There are four amazing rides to try, several adventure playgrounds to explore and falconry displays to watch. There's something here for people of all ages – you may even get to see some red squirrels if you’re lucky!

Later in the evening, you could head to the local multi-screen cinema, or see a show at either the Medina or Apollo Theatres.
