Calahonda is a famous resort located around halfway between Marbella and Fuengirola. It is a highly popular resort for British tourists and expat residents alike.

Calahonda is divided by the coastal road and so has a beach-side section with a wonderful long stretch of sandy beach and a number of attractive homes and urbanisations that line the beach region. Numerous Chiringuitos (beach eateries) dot the beach.

The vast resort begins on the beach and extends over the highway and up into the surrounding rolling hills. Just a short walk from Calahonda, in the direction of Marbella, is the charming Cabopino beach and harbour, complete with popular beach restaurants, bars, and cafés.


This self-contained resort is an ideal starting point for visiting the Costa del Sol. Due to the fact that the majority of tourists to this area of the coast are British, this is the ideal place if you're searching for a home away from home that's sun-drenched and perched above the beach. If, on the other hand, you desire something more authentically Spanish, Calahonda is probably not the greatest option for you.

Riviera del Sol

If you choose a vacation property in the popular resort area of Riviera del Sol-Miraflores, you'll be near to the popular resorts of Fuengirola and Marbella. The Miraflores Golf and Bowling Club is located in the neighbourhood. Additionally, there is a beach and country club where non-members can participate in a variety of activities.


The neighbourhood is densely packed with clubs and restaurants, and the beach only steps away. As with Calahonda, Riviera del Sol and Miraflores are perched on hills with panoramic views of the Mediterranean.Riviera del Sol's beach is typically less busy and features its own chiringuito (beach restaurant) serving food and beverages all day. Marbella's upscale resorts, as well as La Canada's 200-store retail and entertainment complex, are both a 15-minute drive away. Fuengirola is only a ten-minute drive away and offers a wealth of amenities, including excellent beaches, a zoo, the Mijas Aqua Park, multiple-screen theatres, and the Parque Miramar Shopping Centre.

The Riviera del Sol is blessed with a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with warm summers and mild winters. Summer temperatures average is mild due to the cooling sea breezes.

La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is an ideal all-year-round vacation location. It has a village-like atmosphere, with great amenities, a long stretch of golden sand beach, and an abundance of restaurants, bars, and beach cafés. In La Cala, there is a popular children's park with a little cafe where parents may rest while their children play.

La Cala de Mijas is a highly popular town located between Fuengirola and Marbella, near to the prominent development of Calahonda. It is a very popular town with much to do and see for visitors and locals alike. The international airport of Malaga is about a 20-minute drive away. Throughout the summer, the park frequently hosts family-friendly events such as face painting, games, and bouncy castles. Every Saturday, a major market is conducted at the fairground; in July and August, a seaside market is held; and for one week in August, a Medieval Market is held in the main plaza, with food, music, artisan booths, and children's activities.
