Dear Spot Blue,
Myself and my Partner visited Turkey in September 2013 with a view to looking at properties to buy. We are both hoping to retire in 5 years time and we were looking to buy in Turkey because of the good weather with almost year round sunshine and also good value for money.
Before we visited we made sure that our finances were in order and also that we had an understanding of the process of buying in Turkey. We contacted Spot Blue who arranged for Gurol to contact us before our visit. Gurol is the local agent for Spot Blue in Fethiye. Gurol spoke to us before our visit and was very interested to know what sort of properties we wanted to view.
When we visited, Gurol showed us properties that matched our criteria. We wanted somewhere with its own pool in a quieter area. We looked at several properties and when we looked at our Villa in Ciftlik both myself and my partner knew we wanted to put an offer in. We were very nervous about the whole process but need not have been. We were supported at every stage by Gurol and his English wife.
We are now the proud owners of the Villa. I visited the villa in December with my mother to enjoy shopping for some items of furniture and am now looking forward to my next trip when we can use the swimming pool.
One thing that I particularly liked about the service I received was that it didn’t stop once we were the new owners. We continued to be looked after and Gurol is making arrangements to have our villa and pool managed. We felt as though it was really important to have good ongoing services and that is certainly what we have received.
