Dear Jayne and Izzy,
Just wanted to put into writing our sincere thanks for everything.
This is how it started!
We had been thinking of buying a “place in the sun” for quite a while, we had never before been to Turkey, but had done quite a bit of research. We saw a property for sale through Spot Blue and made contact with them. After a couple of emails with Jayne, we had booked a flight to Bodrum, upon informing Jayne I had booked flights she was immediately in contact with me by phone arranging to meet us at the airport.
My husband and I landed at Bodrum at 8pm, as soon as I switched my phone on there was a text from Jayne saying she was in the café waiting for us. So we met Jayne and Izzy for the first time. They had arranged an apartment for us to stay in, but before taking us there, stopped off to have an evening meal and a chat, really lovely people.
We were dropped off at our apartment and they arranged to pick us up the next day to view properties. We went to their offices in the morning where we chatted and they got to know us a little bit (which was great that they took time to get to know us, it’s a very personal service) and also the type of property we were looking for.
Soon we were off with a list of properties to look at, we viewed many properties that day, I took photo’s as we went round so that I could remember them later. We were on a short 3 day visit and I wasn’t sure we would find a property. We finally set our hearts on a place in Akbuk. Once we had decided Izzy did the sale and from then we had a mad wiz! Izzy and Jayne took care of everything, every step of the way, all the official bits and all the unofficial bits, like taking us shopping for furniture etc. nothing was too much trouble. They even came and picked us up in the evenings to show us around the area.
Jayne and Izzy have much knowledge, they have been in this business many years anything we asked them from buying, renting to paying bills, visas, flights, local area information, absolutely anything they could answer questions on they did.
We have just returned back from our second visit, where we have had the same courteous treatment from Spot Blue. Izzy took us to sign for our deeds, set up our electricity and water accounts, took us shopping….again. Introduced us to a beautiful Patisserie! Again doing as much as possible to get things sorted for us on our very short trip. Even down to the fact that Izzy will be organising a few extra jobs we wanted doing on the property while we are not there, so that it will all be ready for us when we arrive for our first official stay in our new holiday home.
I can’t express enough how much the team at Spot Blue do to get their customers organised with everything. It’s an amazing experience to be taken under their wing and guided through the process of buying a property. You do here stories from websites etc., of things going wrong, but from my heart I would recommend Spot Blue to anybody who is thinking of buying a property in Turkey. They really go above and beyond.
So, a great big THANK YOU to Izzy and Jayne and all the rest of the team.
Just to add to my letter…… I have been sitting reflecting on our trip to Turkey.
Something Izzy said while we were there, I had asked – if we needed anything once the “deal” had been done could we pop into the office in Altinkum – astounded Izzy said just come in to say hello and have a tea anytime, you don’t have to have reason or a problem. I realise we are now friends, not just customers.
