We are delighted to present this detached stone villa, which is found just a short walk away from Bodrum Marina with its upmarket Yacht Club and all that Bodrum has to offer. It is tucked away in Bardakci, secluded, quiet, yet the location could not be better!
The current owners have made this property into a beautiful home; it is unique in many ways, and one not to be missed, it truly has everything and more besides.
The property has two deeds, one for the existing house, pool and garden areas, and a second which currently forms extra gardens, however, you could apply for planning permission and build on this plot if you wish, or if not just keep it and enjoy the extra outside space that surrounds the villa.
What is the area like?
Bardakci is a quiet residential area, made up of many individual and unique style villas, and five-star hotels on the seashore and it is situated on the doorstep of Bodrum itself.
It is a small resort which is tucked away but the elevated views are stunning, in the evening it makes a perfect place to sit and just see all that Bodrum has to offer, the twinkling lights of the marina, and the harbour side of the resort with its lovely castle alight in the night sky, and the promenade of course.
Where is the villa?
During the day, or evening you can take a short stroll to some of the best restaurants, cafes and Bistro's on the seafront, you will never be short of something to do in Bodrum with the many shops, boutiques, clubs, sights and much more. The main highway now boasts many shopping centres all of which are easily accessible and Bodrum international airport is only a 30-minute drive away.
The location of this villa makes it a great place to live in luxury all year around.
What is the villa like?
The property is nestled between other similar luxurious properties, on an elevated position in Bardakci. There is an attractive front garden, and an all-weather carport and a log store, to the front of the property.
Once inside the property through the grand main entrance door, you are met with the most stunning of views via the large living room glass doors.
The living room has a traditional sunken seating area in the middle, a great place to just sit and sink into and unwind, and look out of the huge patio doors at the Castle and the town below.
At one end of the living room there is a fireplace, and a television area, and to the left is a snug, or computer space, or children's corner.
At the other end of the living room you will find the dining area, with plenty of space and lovely views for those winter evenings entertaining your friends. To complete this floor there is a fitted separate kitchen, close to the dining area; just off this kitchen is another outdoor patio area, perfect for al fresco dining. This floor has plenty of windows letting in all the natural light. There is also a cloakroom.
Venture onto the first floor and you will find the main sleeping areas. There are three large double bedrooms, the master having its own large en-suite facilities, and a Juliette balcony and two further bedrooms, which also have Juliette balconies; the views from these balconies are breath-taking.
There is a large family bathroom on this floor too, as well as a useful utility room/cupboard area and there is also an interesting open-plan library/gallery which could easily be turned into a further bedroom. A nice feature is that some of the floors and the staircase are polished wood and in keeping with the style of the villa. There is plenty of natural light on this floor too.
Back onto the entrance floor and out onto the full length balcony where you can sit by day or in the evening and just take in the stunning views, there are steps leading down to the poolside floor. There is a garden, small seating corners, and a large swimming pool. The attractively shaped pool has a shallower section, and a diving section, and a curved raised area for sitting in the water. It has a generous shower room, surrounding seating and sunbathing areas. There is also lovely shaded seating area with its own bar, for those hot summer days.
This poolside floor has two further ensuite guestrooms. If you prefer they could be used as staff quarters, and one of these is currently used as a music den. There is also a large room facing the pool, which was a second water depot and is no longer needed for water storage. The potential on this floor is huge, for imaginative use of several rooms.
Outside again and you can weave your way around the large mature gardens, where you will find a nice quiet corner to gather your thoughts, and maybe use as a barbeque area.
There is also generous additional storage area and a workshop.
