What is Meribel, French Alps like?
Meribel is part of the huge Three Valleys ski domain, the world's largest interconnected ski domain, with 600km of groomed pistes to suit all abilities right on its doorstep. Meribel is an excellent family destination, with numerous activities for children, such as theme ski areas, sledding, and the Olympic Park, which has an ice skating rink and a range of other off-snow activities. There are numerous children's ski schools in the area, two of which are managed by ESF.
Meribel is most known for its winter sports, but it is equally appealing in the summer, with miles of hiking and cycling trails, a golf course, and a calendar full with sporting and cultural events.
Alongside Courchevel, Méribel will be hosting the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2023. The championships will further cement the resort’s reputation as a world-class ski destination, increasing the demand for rentals and properties for sale in Méribel. What’s more, the resort is undergoing a wave of regeneration as it prepares for the championships, with two new red pistes, a skiable tunnel, and the resort's snowmaking capacity is set to double.

Where are the apartments in Meribel, French Alps?
Located in the picturesque and authentic hamlet of Le Raffort, these brand-new ski apartments and chalets have 600km of world-class skiing almost on the doorstep as they are just a minute’s walk from the Olympe ski lift. As well as taking skiers to the slopes of the vast Three Valleys ski domain, the Olympe ski lift connects Le Raffort with the other villages of Méribel.
Whilst a handful of local amenities can be found steps away, including two restaurants and a ski shop, the centre of Méribel and Méribel Village, where you’ll find a greater array of restaurants, shops, and services, are just a short drive away.

What are the apartments like?
The photographs used throughout the page are of previous projects created by the developer, showcasing the impressive architecture and finishes you can expect.
Complementing the charming chalet-style architecture that is synonymous with Meribel, these brand-new residences will be built in a traditional style with gabled roofs, facades made from aged wood and stone, and wooden balconies.
Created by one of the most celebrated developers in the French Alps, these properties offer a welcoming Alpine atmosphere thanks to their heated parquet flooring, wooden ceilings, and wood paneling on some of the walls.
They feature ample space for entertaining with open-plan living and dining areas with fitted kitchens with Siemens appliances and cosy fireplaces. The bedrooms feature fitted wardrobes, wooden headboards, and equipped en-suite bathrooms. Some bedrooms benefit from desks - perfect for those who want to work remotely whilst enjoying an extended stay in Méribel.
All of these properties include two underground parking spaces and a ski room with a ski locker and a boot dryer. Some residences have the added advantage of a hammam; it is possible to add a hammam to many other residences upon request.

Property Summary:
These spacious and superbly located residences have exceptional finishes; they offer an exciting opportunity for those seeking a second home for ski breaks and sporty summer escapes in one of the Alps’ most revered ski resorts.
With exceptional finishes and a great location, just a minute’s walk from the ski lift, these properties are well priced for Méribel with an average price of just under €15,000 per sqm as high-end properties here start at €15,000 per sqm and can reach as high as €40,000 per sqm in the sought-after Rond Point des Pistes. Only a few minutes away from the centre of Méribel, this project is Le Raffort is an attractive alternative as it allows investors to buy a larger property near the ski lift and the finishes will be of the highest standard too.
As a new-build property, these apartments and chalets come with notary fees of 2% which can make them more cost-efficient than resale properties which have higher notary fees of 7-8% and sometimes require renovation work. A world-class ski resort with a lively summer season, these properties are an interesting rental investment too and owners can reclaim the VAT from the purchase price if they decide to make their property available for rentals on an ongoing basis.
