Santo Cristo Hermitage

The Santo Cristo Hermitage in Talaván (Cáceres) has an unusual pyramid crowning the church and a vault with winged beings. The inside of the dome is painted with sgraffito figures that are quite different from the usual images of archangels. The hermitage, decorated with the sgraffito technique, is one of three hermitages in Caceres province.

The building was constructed in the late 16th century as part of a Franciscan convent.
