This public beach doesn’t have an entrance fee and looking inland; it offers views of Besparmak mountain peaks. There are two car parks, one free and one charges entrance in high season. Surrounded by beautiful flowers, gentle waves, and clean sand is home to loggerhead turtles laying their eggs in the sand at night. Hence the Alagadi Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Centre has a significant presence in the area. Clear and calm waters are ideal for snorkelling, and after, grab snacks and refreshments in nearby bars.
2: Diana Beach
Diana Beach sits east of Girne and offers the traditional café for refreshments and snacks as well as sunbeds and umbrellas. Facilities are mostly open between April to October, and there is an entry fee to pay. Diana Beach sits 5 minutes east of Kyrenia and, although small, is excellent for summer days. Rent the standard umbrellas and sunbeds, then lay down to soak up the rays. A small café serves lunchtime snacks and refreshments.

Glapsides Beach in Famagusta for Families
Glapsides Beach sitting 3 kilometres from Gazimagusa, is another local favourite and is free to use. A club nearby rents umbrellas and sunbeds and, at weekends, hosts discos. Despite being a popular place, the only standard compliant is litter. Calm, shallow and warm waters make this beach of North Cyprus a family favourite. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent, and nearby cafes sell snacks and refreshments. Some people combine trips to this Northern Cyprus beach with nearby Famagusta’s tourist attractions and eateries.

Escape Beach in Kyrenia for Water Sports
Think jet skis, banana boats, and scuba diving to understand what this beach is all about. This is an all-inclusive beach with a fee to pay, but the management more than delivers quality, including amenities like showers and restaurants. Shallow waters, shaded areas, and minimal crowds are a big lure. Sitting at the end of a long sandy bay, children enjoy Escape Beach Club because of activities for them. Also, note the golden rock island at the entrance to the bay.

Silver Beach, 6 kilometres from Gazimagusa, has free public sections, sunbeds, and umbrellas to rent. Many recommend the beach for picturesque settings.

Acapulco Beach in Kyrenia
Connected to a hotel and spa centre, beach lovers pay to enjoy this stretch of sand but take advantage of sunbed rentals, showers, and changing rooms. Expect clean sand and water sports, and to break up your beach day, visit Vrysi ruins at the beach’s eastern end. Acapulco belongs to the holiday village of the same name, 10 kilometres from Girne. Some say this stretch of sand is best for children because of the shallow waters. Nearby is a self-service beach restaurant to break up your day sunbathing.
