Val d’Isère, France

Picture postcard worthy, Val d’Isère is a commune in the Tarentaise Valley in the Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south eastern France.

It lies only 5 km (3 miles) from the border of Italy and the ski area of Val d’Isère and Tignes make up the Espace Killy, it is also close to the Vanoise National Park.

It may surprise you to know that Val d’Isère is known as “the most beautiful ski area in the world” due its picturesque landscapes and within the Tarentaise Valley is the largest concentration of world class ski resorts in the world.
